Thursday and Friday 13 & 14th September 2018.
11am – 4pm.
This year, Heritage Open Days is celebrating extraordinary women. The theme is partly in recognition of the centenary of the Universal Suffrage Act. But alongside celebrating the unique achievements of the suffragists, we want to tell the stories of the hundreds and thousands of other women who have changed our lives, in both large and small ways over time.
The Diving museum is participating in the Heritage Open Days event and has an exhibition of pioneering women divers from 480BC to the present day. Some of our ‘First Ladies’ are also Hampshire residents….another reason to celebrate.
And yet more reason to celebrate – the museum is open to visitors free on both Heritage Open Days.
