Sketchy line drawing of fashioned diving helmet infilled with cartoon-like nautical images and blobs of colour

Underwater 2020 is an exhibition of contemporary art by local artists.
All the pieces in the exhibition reflect the concept ‘underwater’ and range from paint and sculpture to video and textiles.
Unlike most art exhibitions, the artist’s work is displayed amongst the museum’s artefacts.

Our visitors are encouraged to vote for their favourite piece.
The artist whose work attracts the most votes will win a prize which will be awarded at 4pm on Monday 31st August.

Most of the pieces on display are also available to be purchased. It is a wonderful opportunity not only to support our local artists but also to buy an affordable masterpiece to take home.

Please note: last entry is 3.30pm.
Our normal entry prices are: £4 Adults; £3 Seniors and Children; £12 Families; Under 5s free.

‘Underwater’  is one of our most popular annual events. It is on for only three days. We hope to see you there.

[A note for artists. You are invited to enter up to two pieces for consideration to be included in the exhibition. For more information and to submit artwork please click on the ‘Submit Artwork’ button (which will take you to our parent website: The Historical Diving Society)]
