Privacy Policy
Your privacy and security are important to us. Your personal information is never shared with any other third party unless we are required to do so by law.
On 25 May 2018, the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) replaced the 1998 Data Protection Act. GDPR protects any personal information you provide to us. It includes your name, address, and contact details such as email and delivery addresses.
We only ever ask for the minimum information to enable us to complete your request.
When making a purchase from our shop you are forwarded to our parent organisation, The Historical Diving Society. When making a card transaction your personal information is verified by our account servers (PayPal Payment Solutions). All of your personal card information is handled by PayPal Payment Solutions – not us. We have no access to that information. When the purchase is successful you will be returned to the Historical Diving Society site and informed if your transaction has been successful.
Your name and contact details are held on our database only in order to contact you if there is a difficulty in processing your request. It is deliberately fragmented and cannot be accessed or attributed to you without the use of a secure encrypted key.
If you believe that the data we hold on you is incorrect, please email us. We will be happy to amend any incorrect information.
If at any time you would like your name and address data removed from our database, please send us an email or write to us requesting removal.
