Volunteer

You do not have to know anything about diving to volunteer.
You do not have to commit yourself to any more time or effort than you feel comfortable with.
You do not even need to attend the museum.
All we ask is a little of your time to help us keep on improving the museum.

There are so many ways in which you can help:

Handy hands

Mowing the grass, weeding, painting and repairing the outdoor exhibits; repairing artefacts (where feasible).

A smiling face

Welcoming visitors and running our shop.

Guiding light

Guiding visitors round the museum ( a knowledge of diving really helps with this one).

The desk job

Digitising our library of prints, books and videos.

Spreading the word

Tweeting, updating our facebook page, liaising with relevant websites, news outlets and the tourist office; schools, distributing posters etc.

Events management

Liaising with our speakers; making sure that we have the correct media players available; making sure that we have food and drink ready; clearing up, etc.

Listening

Recording oral histories of divers: their lives, careers, achievements, etc.
